GOULBURN
The Goulburn Farmsafe action group conducted a successful farm safety workshop for farmers over the age of 55 at the Goulburn Workers Club. The workshop focused on simple farm safety measures that could save injury to the older generation of farmers and their workers. Emphasis was placed on avoiding falls and other simple accidents that can lead to serious injury for many people. There is growing demand for this type of information and farmers have had a large input into the workshops, making them very relevant and practical. A national handbook entitled “The Great Idea Bank” will be published at some stage in the future and it will be made available to all farming communities in Australia. The book will be a valuable resource for the national agricultural industry.
